I'm Christina Colgate and I have been in love with graphic design since 2006. I was born in the tiny town of Tiffin, Ohio but have lived and studied in a few other places. I started out studying fashion design at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2003. I realized pretty quickly that it wasn't something I was very passionate about. I then studied advertising art and digital media while working as a freelance artist to gain experience. My clients consisted mostly of referrals and small local businesses. I took in every little bit of knowledge and advice from my clients and piers that I could and ran with it. After getting some experience working in sales and marketing I finally found my niche. Advertising art and web design was without a doubt what I wanted to concentrate on. I then started my own e-commerce custom apparel and promotional products business as well as a freelancer on the side. Skip forward to today and I am now studying interactive multimedia design at Terra State College in Fremont, Ohio. Best decision I've ever made. I continue to have my ever growing regular and consistent clients as well as learning new skills, technologies, and all the latest design programs/platforms I will need going forward. My ultimate goal is to eventually own a storefront to run my own official design and marketing firm. Until then I am still so happy and thankful to be working for myself building websites, creating graphics, and helping grow small businesses as well as other entrepreneurs with their ideas and goals.
